At the time of Vietnam War, China was built the steam locomotives to help Vietnam. In 1965 to 1974, the 67 cars of ZL class were built by China Tanshang Works. Originally this locomotive is 141 class that was built by France in 1953. And this class was used by main line's freight in the Vietnam. However, China copies this locomotive with oneself and built it. Therefore this locomotive was named to the ZL(Unaided) class. Besides, the locomotives of this class was built in Vietnam's works. |
